How We Work
- Initial Consultation. We will travel to the client's place of business free of charge for an initial consultation, provided it is within a 25-mile radius of our principle place of business, not including packages under £250 where consultation will be by telephone and email. We can travel further than 25 miles if negotiated.
- Website Design. The website design will be created as an image and signed off by the client before the website is built. The website design can have any number of iterations, within the package design time, before the client signs off. Only minor changes can be made to the website design after build before additional fees are due.
- Content. Text for use on the website must be provided in a suitable format from the client. Any specific images required must also be provided. We will source up to 10 alternative images from stock if required.
- Go live. Ownership of the web site remains with us until the all monies for the web site design have been fully paid. Thereafter we grant the client non-exclusive use of all material created and designed by us for use in the web site created by us under this contract.
- Link to us. The Budget Web Sites Ltd link must remain in the footer area of the client's web site.
- Portfolio. We reserve the right to feature your website on our portfolio as displayed on our website. This good for you since we will also provide a link through to your live website.
- Payment. For projects under £600 we request full payment in advance. For larger projects we may negotiate a payment schedule.
Website Packages
Unless otherwise negotiated, website packages include the following
- Pages. A maximum number of pages. (Does not apply to Actinic sites or sites where unlimited pages have been negotiated)
- Design Time. Each package type (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Bespoke) has a maximum design time, we can provide examples of the complexity of designs for each package upon request or you can look at our portfolio for examples.
- Images. 200 images per website and 50 per page. With the exception of SMART image+ package which allows 500 images per website and pagination (multiple pages) on a single page. We will upload up to 30 images per website, if more are required then an additional fee can be negotiated. (Does not apply to Actinic websites - where images are unlimited)
- Logo design is NOT included in the website package. Logo design can be added for an additional fee.
- Roman Cart. For eCommerce sites using Roman Cart. Roman Cart fees are payable directly to Roman Cart. Budget Web Sites will add up to 50 items to the shop, if more are required then an additional fee can be negotiated.
- Support. Telephone and email support– we aim to acknowledge queries same working day.
- Webstats from Google Analytics.
- Search Engine Optimisation. Initial setup, we would advice purchasing a SEO maintenance contract for best results.
- Registration with the top 10 search engines.
- 1 .co.uk domain name
- Emails. Each package has a maximum number of email addresses.
Content
It is the client's responsibility to provide all content for the website. Budget Web Sites will request any final payments due 2 calendar months from the design being accepted. This will be regardless of whether the content is received or not. If the content is not received during this time period, the client will have the opportunity to upload content via SMART at their leisure.
Domain Transfers
Budget Web Sites Ltd will attempt to transfer any domains held once full details are provided by the client. Budget Web Sites Ltd cannot be held liable for any failed transfers. Fee's will be due on work completed even if the domain is not transfered due to a third party not coorporating.
There will be a fee of £25 for transferring a .com or .net domain away from the Budget Web Sites Ltd service provider.
SMART Licence Fee/per module
£150 per for the first year and then £60 for subsequent years. Prices subject to change without notice but will not increase by more than 25% in any one calendar year.
Support and Maintenance
If the client chooses not to use our hosting facilities then it is the client's responsibility to support the website in all aspects. If the client has taken web hosting provided by Budget Web Sites Ltd then they are entitled to web maintenance of up to 1 hour for each year plus an annual review.
Third Party Software
Any software that is provided by us to the client is held under separate licence agreements. Once the client has agreed to buy software from Budget Web Sites Ltd then the incurred costs is non-refundable on cancellation of this contract
